Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source - ABB-Hitachi Energy 30-nF Line-to-Ground Capacitors for WAPA DSW's Mead Substation

The Western Area Power Administration (WAPA) intends to award a sole source contract to Nexus Power Solutions LLC for the procurement of 78 ABB-Hitachi Energy brand name 30-nF line-to-ground capacitors for WAPA's Mead Substation near Boulder City, Nevada. The new capacitors will replace the existing aging/failing 30-nF solder joint type capacitors. The contract will be a firm-fixed-price contract. • The capacitors must be ABB-Hitachi Energy brand name for continuity, familiarity, and compatibility purposes. • Nexus Power Solutions LLC is uniquely qualified to provide the required parts as a small business distributor for ABB-Hitachi Energy. • The notice serves as a Notice of Intent to award a contract and is not a request for proposals or quotations. • Responsible sources that believe they can furnish the required capacitors must submit a written notification of interest and capability statement via email to [email protected].
