Purchase of Trees for Various City Projects

The City of East Providence is requesting proposals for the purchase of trees on an as-needed basis for tree planting projects throughout the city. The successful bidder will be required to provide trees with a range of species and caliper sizes, warranty the trees for one year after installation, and hold pricing firm for two years from the date of award. The bidder should have at least five years of experience in tree and shrub sales, a nursery that stocks large and small caliper trees of varying species, and the ability to haul trees from the nursery or wholesale location to various sites in East Providence. • The contract will be for a duration of two years with the option to extend for an additional term. • The City reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to select and negotiate management services in the best interest of the City. • The Consultant will abide by all Federal, State, and City regulations in the performance of the scope of work specified in this Request for Proposal. • The City intends to make a decision on a contract for the requested consulting services within thirty (30) days of the bid deadline.
