GFO-26-601 - Charger Service Skills Accelerator

The California Energy Commission is seeking applicants to deliver a statewide Charger Service Skills Accelerator (CSSA) that expands or creates vocational training programs for electric‑vehicle (EV) charger installation, maintenance, and repair. The grant funds up to $2 million per award (minimum $500 k) to develop industry‑aligned curricula, provide portable, industry‑recognized credentials, and establish clear career pathways with required partnerships (worker‑voice, high‑road employer, and educational provider). Projects must include a detailed scope of work, schedule of deliverables, match‑share funding (minimum 25 % of total project cost), and may incorporate supportive services such as transportation or childcare, capped at 15 % of CEC funds.
