Well 11 - Maintenance, Repair and Rehabilitation

The Village of Schaumburg is seeking a qualified contractor to perform comprehensive maintenance, repair, and rehabilitation of its municipal water well (Well No. 11). The scope includes inspection and refurbishment of the existing 75 HP Byron Jackson submersible motor, evaluation and possible rehabilitation of the 5‑stage bronze bowl assembly, replacement of the 8‑inch threaded‑and‑coupled column pipe, installation of new submersible power cable, new water‑level monitoring airline, a permanent electronic water‑level monitoring system, and a new motor control center (MCC) with full SCADA integration. The contractor must provide all labor, equipment (including heavy‑lift capability of ≥100,000 lb), materials, permits, safety protections, and post‑installation testing and documentation. Mobilization must occur within 15 calendar days of notice to proceed, and the work must be completed to the Village’s satisfaction, with detailed close‑out reports and warranties. • Complete motor disassembly, cleaning, component replacement, reassembly, and testing. • Full inspection and possible rehabilitation of the bronze bowl assembly. • Install ~198 ft of new 8‑in. T&C column pipe and associated fittings. • Provide new submersible power cable, airline, and electronic water‑level transducer. • Replace existing MCC and integrate with Village SCADA system. • Perform startup, performance testing, and deliver comprehensive documentation. • Provide required insurance, performance bond (100 % of contract), and comply with all local, state, and federal regulations.
