2026 IDIQ Chilled Water Construction in the ROW

The City of Austin is seeking a contractor to provide chilled water construction services in the right of way. The scope of work includes provision of pipe, pipe repair, leak investigation, piping hot taps, excavation, tunneling, or boring as required for pipe installation, along with all required casing spacers, tunnel supports, tunnel safety provisions, tunnel dewatering, traffic control provisions, valve boxes, butterfly valves, gear operators, air elimination assemblies, sediment containment, tree protection, and other related services. The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, materials, tools, instruments, supplies, equipment, transportation, mobilization, insurance, subcontracts, bonds, supervision, management, reports, incidentals, and quality control necessary to perform construction management and construction work. • The contract will be for an initial term of 24 months with two possible 12-month extension options. • The contract amount will not exceed $10 million for the initial term and $5 million for each extension option. • The contractor must be registered with the City of Austin prior to submitting a proposal. • The contractor must comply with the City's Minority-Owned and Women-Owned Business Enterprise Procurement Program. • The contractor must provide a compliance plan and confirmation letters with their proposal. • The evaluation criteria for the proposal include the contractor's experience, qualifications, and price. • The contract will be awarded to the contractor that offers the best value to the City.
