DCP1 Condenser Water System Replacement

The City of Austin is seeking a general contractor to replace the aging cooling towers at its Downtown Cooling Plant #1 (DCP1). The project involves the construction of a 7,200 ton capacity multi-cell stainless steel FM listed cooling tower, packaged condenser water pumps, cooling tower structural steel supports engineering & construction, condenser water piping system and supports, concrete equipment pads, electrical service, cooling tower PLC control system, temporary traffic control system, painting, and miscellaneous work. The project is located at 300 San Antonio Street, Austin, TX, and the contractor will need to ensure that the existing facilities are kept in continuous operation throughout the construction period. The contractor will be responsible for executing all work, including demolition, installing equipment, installing pipe, and miscellaneous concrete, and testing.
