Chicago Sanitary and Ship Canal CSSC Barrier IIB High Voltage Power Supply HVPS Procurement

The USACE-Chicago District is seeking information from firms that can provide custom-designed, fabricated, and delivered high voltage power supplies for the Chicago Sanitary and Ship Canal CSSC Barrier IIB facility. The project requires the design, fabrication, testing, and delivery of three complete high voltage power supplies, including two 1.5 MW units and one 350 kW unit. The new units must seamlessly integrate with the existing Pulse Generating Control System PGCS without modification to the existing software or wiring. The key requirements of the project include: • Custom design, fabrication, and delivery of high voltage power supplies • Utilization of 24-pulse SCR technology and copper-wound transformers • Integration with proprietary control systems and compliance with IEEE 519 harmonic distortion limits • Operation within stringent physical space constraints and heavy industrial applications • Experience with similar projects, including custom design, fabrication, and delivery of multi-megawatt high voltage power supplies
