Wetland Mitigation Maintenance

The City of Des Moines Wastewater Reclamation Authority is soliciting quotes from qualified companies for Wetland Mitigation Maintenance services. The project consists of maintenance work for three wetland mitigation areas, including site preparation, herbicide treatment, and site cleanup. The contractor will be responsible for all labor, materials, equipment, and associated work. The project is expected to be completed upon issuance of a purchase order and termination upon project completion. • The contractor must facilitate a pre-maintenance site meeting with the Owner and Engineer within 1.5 weeks of contract award. • The contractor must notify Bret Shelton, Environmental Scientist, at least 24 hours prior to any maintenance activity at all three locations and after all work has been completed for review and documentation. • The contractor must exercise reasonable care to protect existing trees and other site features from damage during maintenance work. • The contractor must replant any trees damaged during maintenance activities at their own expense.
