RFP-401 Ocean Tech Challenge Execution Partner

The Rhode Island Commerce Corporation is seeking a partner to design, manage, and execute the 401 Ocean Tech Challenge, a program aimed at identifying and accelerating emerging dual-use technologies relevant to undersea and maritime defense systems. The selected partner will develop and deploy an accelerator program, recruit innovators and startups, and manage the challenge application and participant selection process. The program will culminate in a pitch showcase event where selected finalists will present to an audience of defense contractors, government stakeholders, investors, and domain experts. Key responsibilities include: • Identification of accelerator program thematic focus areas • Development of a business support program • Regional, national, and international recruitment of innovators and startups • Management of challenge application and participant selection process • Planning and management of a high-visibility final pitch event • Cultivating and securing sponsors for pitch event prizes • Launch and execution of the 401 Ocean Tech Challenge marketing and communication plan The Corporation expects to spend no more than $75,000 on this contract.
