Guardianship Services 2018

The Department of Developmental Services is seeking responses from individuals and non-profit corporations to serve as temporary and/or permanent, full or limited guardians and, temporary and/or permanent conservators under M.G.L. c. 190B. The purpose of this RFR is to solicit interested and qualified individuals and non-profit corporations to serve as guardians and/or conservators for individuals receiving services from DDS whose lack of capacity to make informed decisions with respect to the conduct of personal and financial affairs creates an unreasonable risk to the individual's health or welfare. • The selected individuals and non-profit corporations will be responsible for serving as guardians and/or conservators for individuals with developmental disabilities. • The services will be provided in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract. • The contract will be for a period of time to be determined, with the possibility of renewal. • The contractor will be required to comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including those related to confidentiality and privacy. • The contractor will be required to participate in the Commonwealth's Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) program and Prompt Payment Discount (PPD) initiative.
