Description

The California Victim Compensation Board is offering the Trauma Recovery Center (TRC) Grant for FY 27/28 to fund organizations that provide wrap‑around mental health and social services to victims of violent crime, especially those in underserved communities. Budget estimate

$500,000 – $2,500,000

The grant’s total funding pool includes a guaranteed $2 million from the Restitution Fund plus an additional, variable amount from the Safe Neighborhoods and Schools Fund that will be identified in 2027. Assuming a modest share of the variable portion, individual award amounts could range from a few hundred thousand dollars up to $2 million for larger service providers. Therefore a reasonable estimate for a single award is $0.5 M – $2.5 M, depending on the organization’s scope, staffing plan, and geographic coverage.
