Kansas City Area Transportation Authority (KCATA) Tire Leasing Program

The Kansas City Area Transportation Authority (KCATA) is seeking a qualified vendor to provide a tire‑leasing service for its approximately 184‑bus fleet on a cost‑per‑mile basis, including on‑site service, inspection, inventory management, and replacement of tires throughout a three‑year base contract with two optional one‑year extensions. The supplier must maintain a sufficient inventory of new tires, manage scrap removal, and ensure compliance with DOT, federal, and state regulations while invoicing KCATA monthly based on mileage data. • Provide tires (sizes 315/80 R22.5, 305/85 R22.5, 275/70 R22.5, 225/75 R16) and maintain a stock of spares for the entire fleet. • Perform monthly inspections, supply new tires, remove and dispose of worn tires, and support KCATA’s wheel refurbishment program. • Deliver a fixed tire‑mile rate for the full contract term; no price adjustments are permitted for the base period or any exercised option years.
