The Town of Bennington is soliciting bids for a General Construction contract to extend and upgrade its water distribution system along five streets in the town. The work includes full trenching, removal of existing asphalt and sub‑base, installation of new water mains, directional drilling, thrust blocks, fire hydrants, curb stops, service lines, interior residential plumbing connections, well abandonment, and reconstruction of the roadway base and pavement. The project is funded partially by the Vermont Drinking and/or Clean Water State Revolving Fund and is subject to DBE, Davis‑Bacon, Buy‑America, and other federal requirements.
