Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking a contractor to provide Methylated and hydroxymethylated DNA immunoprecipitation sequencing (MeDIP-seq and hMeDIP-seq) services. The contractor will be required to perform both MeDIP-seq and hMeDIP-seq services using the same tissue sample. The goal of this project is to understand how 5-hydroxymethylcytosine (5hmc) affects brain injury after Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). The contractor will be responsible for providing monthly project progress updates via email and delivering the final reports in Excel, PDF, and PNG formats. Some key points to consider: • The contract will be for a firm fixed price for an estimated 1-year period with no option terms. • The NAICS Code for this contract is 541714. • The contractor will be required to provide capability statements, including information about their products and services, as well as references from other customers. • The contractor will have a direct impact on the result of the research, and the principal investigator will be the only qualified individual to determine the ability of the contractor.

Budget estimate

$100,000 – $500,000

The estimated budget for this contract is difficult to determine as the document does not provide a specific amount. However, based on the scope of work and the fact that it is a firm fixed price contract for a 1-year period, a rough estimate could be in the range of $100,000 to $500,000. This estimate is based on the assumption that the contractor will need to provide specialized equipment and personnel to perform the MeDIP-seq and hMeDIP-seq services. Factors that may influence the likely payment range include the complexity of the research, the number of samples to be analyzed, and the level of expertise required to perform the services.
