MDOT-SW Region-Alamo-Janitorial & Grounds services

The Michigan Department of Transportation is seeking a contractor to provide janitorial and grounds services for the Alamo D Ave Rest Area in the Southwest Region. The contractor will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of the rest area, including the buildings, grounds, and surrounding areas. The contract will be awarded to the responsive and responsible bidder who receives a PASS for each criterion and has the lowest price. The evaluation process will include consideration of the bidder's past performance, economic impact, and total cost of ownership. Key aspects of the job include: • Providing janitorial services, including cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, floors, and surfaces • Maintaining the grounds, including mowing, trimming, and pruning • Removing trash and recyclables • Performing routine maintenance tasks, such as replacing light bulbs and unclogging drains • Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and safety standards • Providing excellent customer service to visitors and staff
