PTAG Intent to Sole Source – Evacu-Trac Medical Evacuation Chairs

The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has an urgent requirement to purchase forty Garventa Lift Evacu-Trac evacuation chairs and forty storage cabinets due to a recent fire within the Alexandria Campus. The evacuation chairs are emergency use medical devices that allow disabled persons to descend the stairs safely during emergency building evacuations. The purchase of these chairs and cabinets will enable a single person to evacuate an individual with a disability from a campus building. The key features of the required evacuation chairs include a 400-lb capacity, timely and cost-effective delivery within 2 weeks, and seamless integration with existing emergency response equipment and protocols.
