Description of goods to services to be bid: Summary of revisions: (September 10, 2026) Technical Skills Training and Upskilling PON 6122 is revised as follows:• Clarified that this opportunity is not intended to fund projects that primarily deliver training to employees of the applicant organization. NYSERDA seeks to build and expand training capacity that upskills existing workers currently employed in clean energy jobs in all sectors, prioritizing opportunities for individuals from disadvantaged communities (DACs) or priority populations.For the purposes of this NYSERDA solicitation, upskilling also includes the enhancement of clean energy content delivered to students in post-secondary education programs and NYS Education Department Career and Technical Educations programs with direct connections to clean energy occupations. Funding provided through this initiative is intended to minimize barriers to training by subsidizing the cost of training, making training more available across the state and ensuring that training is developed and delivered by qualified entities targeted at demonstrated market gaps and needs. Funding is available for training that advances skills in energy efficiency and building electrification; renewable energy; energy storage; smart grid and electric distribution/transmission; and electric vehicle charging stations. NYSERDA will provide funding for projects that deliver training into one of the following categories: Category 1 Delivery of existing training or Category 2 Development and delivery of new training. NYSERDA will accept applications requesting between $75,000 and $500,000 in funding. Applicants must contribute a minimum of 15 percent of cost share for Category 1 projects and 25 percent cost share for Category 2 projects toward the total project budget, which may include “cash” or “in-kind” services. Cost share requirements for Category 1 will be reduced to 5 percent and to 15 percent for Category 2 if those projects train over 50 percent of residents from a DAC or members of a priority population.
