Description
The Western Area Power Administration (WAPA) is seeking a contractor to upgrade 35 miles of its Lusk Rural Tap-Glendo (LRT-GLD) 69-kV transmission line to a 115-kV transmission line and construct a new substation located in Niobrara County, Wyoming. The project aims to enhance WAPA's ability to provide reliable and cost-efficient electric power. The work includes replacing the existing transmission line with a new 115-kV wood pole H-frame transmission line and constructing a new substation with a 69-kV delivery point.
• The project will be constructed on existing ROW, widened by 20 to 25 feet to provide proper clearance for the higher voltage, lengthened spans, and potentially greater blow-out.
• The estimated magnitude of construction is greater than $10M.
• The applicable NAICS Code is 237130, and the size standard is $45.0M.
• The solicitation will be issued as a 100% small business set-aside.
• The Buy American Act applies to the solicitation, and bidders must identify any non-domestic materials included in their bid.
