Description
The U.S. Navy’s NAVFAC Hawaii is conducting market research (Sources Sought) to identify alternative telemetry radios and media converters that meet or exceed the performance of Lexycom Terra radios and Moxa NPort 5110 converters. The goal is to find a single vendor capable of supplying a radio operating in the 156‑174 MHz band with ~10 kbps MODBUS‑optimized data rates, 50 W power, IP‑based mesh routing, NIST‑certified encryption, and compatible serial interfaces. The media converter must translate serial data to TCP/IP Ethernet, support 10/100 Base‑T, RS‑232 DB9, TCP client/server modes, configurable serial parameters, and operate on 12‑48 VDC. Interested parties must submit technical data, company information, and a point of contact by the deadline. No cost reimbursement is provided, and all submissions become government property.
• Required radio: 156‑174 MHz, ~10 kbps MODBUS, 50 W, IP mesh, NIST‑certified encryption, P2P/P2M routing, compatible with MODBUS/HSQ/serial.
• Required media converter: Serial‑to‑TCP/IP, 10/100 Base‑T RJ45, RS‑232 DB9, TCP client/server, configurable serial settings, 12‑48 VDC power.
• Submission format: PDF, 11‑point Times New Roman or larger, single‑sided 8.5×11 in.
• Deadline: 23 Sept 2026, 2:00 p.m. HST.
• Contact: Ku'ulei Kamikawa, Contract Specialist (US Navy).
