RFP Snow Removal for City-Owned Parking Lots and Sidewalks

The City of Bismarck is seeking cost proposals for snow removal services for city-owned parking lots and sidewalks for a three-year period, from October 15, 2026, to May 15, 2029. The city reserves the right to award the contract based on the best overall cost for the city. The successful contractor will provide snow removal services, including loading and hauling of snow, and will be required to have a current North Dakota contractor's license and liability insurance. The contractor will also be required to provide a certificate of workers' compensation coverage and a waiver of subrogation. • The city-owned parking lots and sidewalks include the City/County Building, Veteran's Memorial Public Library, Public Health Center, and public sidewalks. • The contractor will be required to provide snow removal services for each location, including loading and hauling of snow. • The contractor will be paid based on the amount of snow removed, with a bid price per 2" snow fall event and a bid price for each additional inch of snow above 2". • The contractor will be required to provide a list of equipment to be used for snow removal and to have a plan in place for snow hauling and disposal.
