RFI Next Generation Transporter Solutions

The Department of Energy/National Nuclear Security Administration is seeking information about industry capabilities to support the development of the Next Generation Transporter (NGT), a secure trailer system for transporting nuclear materials. The NGT system consists of a custom vault, enhanced cargo restraints, and integrated electronics, and must comply with nuclear explosive safety directives and Department of Transportation regulations. The RFI is seeking information on companies' experience and capabilities in designing and manufacturing custom, classified systems that integrate electrical and software components. The scope of work includes designing and building the NGT system, as well as providing long-term service, maintenance, software updates, and trouble call support.
