NOTICE TO PROPOSERSRFP-2026-06SCHENECTADY COUNTY COMPOST FACILITY SOURCE SEPARATED ORGANICS FEASIBILITY STUDY Schenectady County is seeking proposals from qualified firms or individuals to provide a Source Separated Organics (SSO) Feasibility Study for the Schenectady County Compost & Recycling Facility, located at 24 Hetcheltown Road, Glenville, NY 12302. The purpose of this RFP is to solicit competitive proposals to determine if it is financially responsible, and feasibly possible, from a regulatory and structural standpoint, for the Schenectady County Compost & Recycling Facility to accept and process source separated organics from waste haulers and residents. Digital copies of specifications may be obtained from BidNet Direct at www.bidnetdirect.com/new-yorkor by submitting a request to the Purchasing Department at [email protected]. Papercopies may be picked up at the Purchasing Department, 2nd Floor, Schenectady County Office Buildingat 620 State Street, Schenectady, New York, 12305 between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M.weekdays, but must be requested via email 24 hours in advance. A pre-proposal meeting and site walkthrough will be held on September 16, 2026, at 1:00 PM, at the Schenectady County Compost & Recycling Facility, located at 24 Hetcheltown Road, Glenville, NY 12302. Those interested are asked to meet outside of the facility. All proposals must be delivered in a sealed envelope marked “Proposal” and stating Schenectady County Compost Facility Source Separated Organics Feasibility Study, RFP-2026-06, to the Purchasing Agent, no later than October 30, 2026, at 11:00 AM, at which time they will be opened.
