Fleet Building Renovation

The City of Coconut Creek is seeking a licensed General Contractor to fully renovate its 4900 W Copans Road “Fleet Building.” The project includes structural hardening, roof replacement, new lightning protection, solar array installation, impact‑rated doors and windows, interior finishes, HVAC and electrical upgrades, mezzanine replacement, and site security improvements while keeping the vehicle bays operational during normal business hours. Bidders must submit a bid bond (5 % of bid) and, if awarded, furnish performance and payment bonds for 100 % of the contract price. A non‑mandatory pre‑bid conference (Sept 16) and site visit (Sept 22) are offered. All bids are due electronically by Oct 6, 2026. • Scope: structural, roofing, solar, doors/windows, interior finishes, mechanical/electrical, fire safety, security, fencing, painting. • Must maintain fleet‑bay operations M‑Th 6:30 am‑6:00 pm; occasional weekend work anticipated. • Required licenses, bonds, insurance, and compliance with Florida statutes. • Pre‑bid conference and site walk‑through optional but encouraged. • Bid submission through city’s eBid system; bid bond = 5 % of bid.
