Roadway Salt for Facilities Management

The University of Iowa is seeking a supplier to provide treated road salt for its facilities management. The supplier must be able to provide 500-600 tons of salt per year, with the option to increase to 800-1000 tons per year. The supplier must have a proven track record of consistent product quality, competitive pricing, and dependable performance. The contract will be for a period of 5 years, with the option to extend for an additional 3 years. • The supplier must be able to deliver salt within 1-3 business days of order placement. • The supplier must be able to provide a detailed description of their inventory management practices, delivery capabilities, and contingency planning for peak or emergency conditions. • The supplier must be able to provide a complete list of all road salt products currently available, including any treated, enhanced, or alternative formulations. • The supplier must be able to provide firm, fixed pricing for the initial contract term, with any proposed price increases clearly disclosed and justified.
