The Department of Transportation & Public Facilities is seeking quotes for on-call towing and recovery services in Nome, Alaska. The contractor will provide towing and recovery services on an as-needed basis, including removal of abandoned, disabled, or obstructing vehicles, towing from roadways, rights-of-way, and airport areas, winching/recovery from snowbanks, ditches, or off-road conditions, and vehicle relocation to support maintenance and snow removal. The contract will be for a period of one year, with two one-year renewal options. The compensation shall not exceed $30,000 per service year. • The contractor must provide equipment suitable for passenger vehicles and light-duty trucks. • The contractor must have on-call availability and provide urgent response within one hour. • The contractor must comply with all applicable federal, state, and borough regulations, codes, and laws. • The contractor must provide invoices that include date and time of service, service location, vehicle description, services performed, and license plate number (if available).
