The City of Springfield is establishing a qualified‑vendor roster to provide auto body repair and/or towing/recovery services for its municipal fleet. Vendors will submit a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) demonstrating the ability to perform collision repairs, paint work, structural straightening, glass replacement, as well as light‑, medium‑, and heavy‑duty towing, winching, and 24/7 emergency response. The RFQ does not guarantee a contract but will allow the City to award future task orders to vendors that meet the qualification criteria.
• Services include comprehensive auto body repair (collision, dent, frame, painting, glass, rust) and emergency/priority repairs for municipal vehicles.
• Towing/recovery services must cover 24/7 emergency response, various duty‑class tow trucks, winching, storage, and compliance with Illinois towing regulations.
• Minimum qualifications require appropriate insurance, licensing (Illinois towing permits for towing), documented fleet or repair experience, and ability to operate within Springfield city limits.
• Submissions must include experience narratives, certifications, insurance proof, rate schedules, and two client references, uploaded through the City’s electronic bid portal by the deadline.
