Y--Industry Day - TIMU Fort Caroline Memorial

The National Park Service is hosting an Industry Day to gather input from up to eight firms on the planned relocation of the Fort Caroline Memorial at the Timucuan Ecological & Historic Preserve. The project will involve demolishing the existing exhibit, regrading and stabilizing a new higher‑elevation site, installing new rammed‑earth walls, Corten‑steel railings, composite decking, irrigation, and trail improvements while keeping public access open. No funding is attached to this event; the purpose is to collect industry expertise ahead of a formal bid solicitation expected in Summer 2027. • Objective: Move the historic fort exhibit out of a flood‑prone area and improve resilience, safety, and visitor experience. • Scope: Demolition, site grading, new construction of exhibit and supporting infrastructure, selective vegetation removal, and trail/irrigation work. • Materials: Rammed‑earth/formed concrete walls, Corten steel, composite decking, salvaged or reconstructed arch, compacted accessible paths. • Timeline: Industry Day on 10/14‑10/15 2026; anticipated formal solicitation Summer 2027. • Participation: Voluntary, 1‑hour slots, up to eight firms.
