U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) — Notice of Intent to Expand — Office Space in Idaho Falls, ID

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is seeking to expand its office space in Idaho Falls, ID. The Government currently occupies 3,426 SF of office and related space and is looking for an additional 963 SF of expansion space, for a total requirement of 4,389 SF. The ideal space should be located in a prime retail area with attractive surroundings, preferably in a professional retail setting, and not within close proximity to residential areas, railroad tracks, or power transmission lines. The space must meet Government requirements for fire safety, accessibility, seismic, and sustainability standards. Some of the key requirements include: • Space must be located in a prime retail area with attractive surroundings • Space shall be located in a professional retail setting and preferably not within close proximity to residential areas • Space should not be located within the 100-year flood plain or wetland unless the Government has determined it to be the only practicable alternative • Employee and visitor entrances of the building must be connected to public sidewalks or street by continuous, accessible sidewalks • Regularly scheduled public transportation is required within 1,000 feet • Parking must be available per local code and be available within four walkable blocks from the building The Government requires a fully serviced lease, and the offered space must meet or be capable of meeting Government requirements for Security, Fire Life Safety, and Handicapped Accessibility.
