Comprehensive Medical Servcies

The Commonwealth of Kentucky, Justice & Public Safety Cabinet, Department of Corrections is seeking proposals from contractors to provide comprehensive medical services to inmates in correctional facilities. The contractor will be responsible for providing all healthcare services, including general and specialty medical services, mental health services, vision services, and diagnostic services. The contractor must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including the American Correctional Association (ACA) standards and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). The contractor will also be required to provide a comprehensive plan for health care services during a pandemic or public health emergency. Key aspects of the job include: • Providing comprehensive healthcare services to inmates in correctional facilities • Complying with ACA standards and HIPAA regulations • Providing mental health services, vision services, and diagnostic services • Developing a comprehensive plan for health care services during a pandemic or public health emergency • Coordinating with the Department of Corrections and other stakeholders to ensure continuity of care • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records and providing reports as required
