Tire-Derived Aggregate Grant Program

The Tire-Derived Aggregate (TDA) Grant Program provides assistance to local governments to solve various engineering challenges using tire-derived aggregate from shredded tires as an alternative to conventional lightweight aggregates in civil engineering projects. The program aims to divert waste tires from landfill disposal, prevent illegal tire dumping, and promote markets for recycled-content tire products. Eligible applicants include California local government entities, special districts, joint powers authorities, public school districts, state agencies, and private, non-profit, and tribal entities.
