Inmate Transport Buses

The State of Tennessee, Department of General Services is seeking bids for the one-time purchase of four (4) Inmate Security Transportation Vehicles (ISTV) deemed critical for the Tennessee Department of Correction institutions and statewide transport of inmates. The vehicles must meet specific standard features, including a Cummins engine, Allison transmission, and semi-monocoque low-corrosion stainless steel frame. The contractor must also provide vehicles with lavatory and lavatory accessories, windows, interior flooring, and miscellaneous interior and exterior components. The contract will be awarded to the bidder who submits the most responsive and responsible bid. • The contract is for a one-time purchase of four vehicles. • The vehicles must be delivered within one year of the issuance of a purchase order. • The contractor must have a facility within 300 miles of Nashville, TN, and be able to provide complete factory service. • The contractor must be an authorized vendor of vehicles built with Cummins engines and Allison transmissions.
