The City of Salina is seeking qualified contractors to replace and install water distribution infrastructure across three street corridors (Dover Drive, 10th & 11th Streets, and Larson Street). The work includes ductile‑iron water main installation, fire hydrant and valve assembly installation/removal, meter pit replacement/relocation, and associated underground utilities. Contractors must obtain the full design package (subject to a $60 fee) and submit sealed bids by the deadline. • Replacement of approximately 5,748 ft of 6‑in. and 12‑in. ductile‑iron water mains, plus related pipe work. • Installation of fire hydrants, resilient gate valves, and water service connections (numerous long and short service lines). • Removal, replacement, and relocation of water‑meter pits (including both 1‑meter and 2‑meter configurations). • Coordination with existing sanitary sewer lines and abandonment of obsolete water‑line valves.
