Description
The Minnesota Department of Education is soliciting proposals to develop a series of online learning modules for early childhood education professionals. The modules should focus on topics such as infrastructure for continuous improvement, family and community engagement, multi-layered practices and support, assessment, and data-based decision making. The goal is to increase the capacity of early childhood leaders to understand their roles and identify areas of strength and opportunities for growth in the programs they support. The modules should be self-paced, interactive, and asynchronous, incorporating adult learning strategies. The project has an estimated budget of $1,250,000 and is fully federally funded.
Key aspects of the project include:
• Developing a minimum of six individual modules, each focusing on a specific topic or theme
• Creating a comprehensive overview/homepage for the Empowering Early Childhood Leaders Course
• Developing companion documents, such as an Early Childhood and Early Childhood Special Education Program Systems Reflection Tool
• Ensuring all created products follow federal and state accessibility requirements
• Piloting the modules with a diverse group of current and former leaders from Minnesota public schools and charter schools
