Part-time Lifeguard for MDH Potomac Center

The Maryland Department of Health (MDH) is seeking a professional, reliable Lifeguard to provide part-time services at the Potomac Center facility's indoor pool in Hagerstown, Maryland. The job duties will include lifeguard services, providing CPR/First Aid as required, performing safety checks, cleaning of the pool, pool decks, and bathrooms, and monitoring/adjusting pool chemicals as needed. The Lifeguard must be a Certified Pool Operator (CPO) and have at least two years of experience providing Lifeguard services. • The Lifeguard will work approximately 12-14 hours per week, with a total of 676 hours over the 52-week contract term. • The Lifeguard must be comfortable working with individuals who have intellectual disabilities and may experience behavioral challenges. • The Lifeguard must possess a current/active Lifeguard Certification, Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification, and current/active certification in Adult First Aid, CPR, and AED. • The Bidder must provide all required documentation, including a copy of the Lifeguard’s Driver’s License, resume, certifications, and insurance. • The total cost of the contract will not exceed $50,000.
