Citrus Groves Maintenance

The City of Mesa is seeking a qualified contractor to provide full‑service maintenance and harvesting of approximately 210 acres of citrus groves located near Falcon Field Airport. The contractor will be responsible for all agronomic activities—including irrigation, fertilization, pruning, pest control, and harvest—while retaining all revenue from the fruit. In return, the City will pay a monthly per‑acre stipend (amount to be supplied in the pricing attachment). The contract is a one‑year firm‑fixed‑price agreement with options for up to four one‑year renewals and a six‑month extension, and includes provisions for price adjustments, termination, and mandatory reporting. • Manage and maintain ten blocks of citrus groves (≈ 210 acres) – irrigation, fertilizing, pruning, pest control, harvesting, and debris removal. • Contractor keeps all crop revenue; City provides a per‑acre monthly payment and covers water costs for blocks 1‑8. • Requires ≥ 3 years citrus‑grove experience, specific insurance coverages, and submission of detailed pricing and qualification forms by 31 Mar 2022.
