Districtwide Secure Document Shredding Services

The Washoe County School District is seeking vendors to provide on-site and off-site secure document shredding/destruction services. The services must ensure the protection and proper disposal of confidential records in compliance with Nevada Administrative Code (NAC) 239.165 and applicable Nevada public records laws and regulations. The scope of work includes scheduled recurring pickups, one-time or bulk purges, and certificates of destruction. Vendors must also provide lockable shredding containers, perform shredding in accordance with industry standards and HIPAA requirements, and maintain documented chain-of-custody controls. • The services must comply with Nevada Administrative Code (NAC) 239.165 and applicable Nevada public records laws and regulations. • Vendors must provide certificates of destruction (CODs) as legal proof of secure destruction. • Shredding containers must be lockable and available in standard industry sizes. • Vendors must perform shredding in accordance with industry standards, HIPAA requirements, and recognized certifications. • Vendors must maintain documented chain-of-custody controls from point of collection through final destruction.
