Chemical Water Treatment

The University of Minnesota Facilities Management is seeking qualified vendors to provide comprehensive chemical water treatment services for its open cooling systems, closed-loop hot and cold water loops, and boiler systems across both the Minneapolis and St. Paul campuses. The contract will cover chemical selection, dosing, monitoring, safety compliance, and ongoing maintenance to ensure optimal system performance and regulatory adherence. Vendors must submit detailed technical approaches, staffing plans, cost proposals, and safety procedures, and may be invited to present or interview. Optional site visits are offered for prospective respondents, though attendance is not mandatory. • Scope includes treatment of cooling towers, closed‑loop water loops, and boiler water chemistry. • Services required for two campuses (Minneapolis & St. Paul). • Deliverables: chemical dosing plans, safety documentation, performance reporting, and ongoing support. • Evaluation based on technical approach (25%), cost (25%), staffing/qualifications (30%), safety (10%), and interviews (10%). • Submission deadline: October 1, 2026 (hard close). • Pre‑proposal meeting (non‑mandatory) on September 1, 2026; optional site visits September 9‑15, 2026. • Award identification expected week of November 2, 2026; contract execution by February 1, 2027.
