Public Art Mural

The State Foundation on Culture and the Arts is seeking an artist or artist team to complete a public art mural for the new Aloha Stadium construction project. The mural should celebrate the surrounding area's unique history or the multi-cultural fabric of Hawaii as a whole. The contract will be for one year, and the budget should include all taxes and fees. The evaluation criteria include the project work proposal, demonstrated past performance, qualifications, professional references, and budget. • The project requires the creation of a public art mural that encompasses the entirety of a plywood construction barrier surrounding the new Aloha Stadium construction project. • The barrier is roughly 3,114' in length with sections as tall as 8' to 11'. • The creation of the mural should encourage public participation in order to advance access to cultural activity and community engagement. • The budget should be inclusive of all taxes and fees, plus any subcontracted travel, lodging, per diem, or other costs associated with the work. • The contract will be for one year and will be fixed price.
