Rebid: Linear Walking Irrigation System

The Louisiana State University and Agricultural & Mechanical College is seeking bids for the installation and commissioning of a new linear move (walking) irrigation system at the Red River Research Station in Bossier City, LA. The system must be capable of delivering water at a minimum of 7 gpm/ac and operating at a minimum of 15-psi at the distal end of the machine. The supplier must provide all necessary equipment, including the linear irrigation system, underground piping, and risers, and must install and commission the system within 120 days of commencement. The project must commence within 30 days of purchase order, and the supplier must provide at least one year of full warranty, parts and labor, beginning after project completion. • The linear irrigation system must be a manufacturer-authorized linear irrigation equipment dealer. • The system must be furnished, installed, and commissioned in accordance with the specifications. • The supplier must provide on-site training to the operators regarding operation of the linear equipment. • The supplier must provide a one-year warranty, parts and labor, beginning after project completion. • The system must be designed and manufactured according to the National Electrical Code (NEC) Article 675 and other relevant standards. • The system must be capable of variable rate irrigation (VRI) and must include VRI tower boxes, electronic solenoids, and automatic valves.
