Description
The Brooklawn Board of Education seeks a qualified security firm to provide comprehensive school‑security services for its single K‑12 campus, Alice Costello School, for the 2026‑2027 academic year. The contract requires staffing, patrol, front‑desk, emergency‑response coordination, and related consulting duties, with stringent personnel qualifications and extensive reporting and compliance obligations.
• Provide one armed and one unarmed security specialist (or equivalent combination) per school, working 8 hours/day for 180 calendar days per school year.
• Perform patrols, visitor screening, camera monitoring, fire/security drills, emergency‑response plan coordination, bullying investigations, and event coverage.
• Meet rigorous staffing qualifications (20 years law‑enforcement experience for armed officers, NJ substitute‑teacher certification for ≥ 75 % of staff, required FEMA courses, SORA licensing, and background checks).
• Submit a sealed proposal with detailed cost rates, all required certifications, insurance certificates, political‑contribution, Iran/Russia disclosures, and ownership statements by the deadline.
• No bid bond or performance bond required; contract may be renewed up to two additional one‑year terms, with price adjustments limited to the NJ Index Rate.
