Request for Information (RFI)- Aerostat Envelope

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is conducting a Sources Sought/Request for Information (RFI) to assess industry capability to produce a Class IV 275 k lb aerostat envelope (PN 275‑10001‑04) for its Tethered Aerostat Radar System (TARS). CBP seeks vendor profiles, past performance, manufacturing capacity, lead‑time, pricing, and any other relevant qualifications. Responses are due 28 August 2026 and will be used for market research and to shape a future acquisition strategy; no contract award is implied at this stage. • Scope: Provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, transportation, supervision, and related services needed to build, test, and deliver the aerostat envelope. • Target product: 275 k lb Class IV aerostat (approx. 10,000 ft operating altitude). • Required information: Company details, small‑business status, prior experience with 275 k lb or similar aerostats, production lead time, unit price, and any proprietary data. • Submission format: Email to Leslie L.
