Single Axle Cab & Chassis

The City of Muscatine is seeking bids for a Single Axle Cab & Chassis. The vehicle should have a minimum 350 HP diesel engine, 1000 ft. lb. torque, and meet EPA emissions levels. The cab should be a large type, with a conventional design and forward tilting fiberglass hood. The vehicle should also have a number of features, including power steering, tilt wheel, and a stereo/radio. The city is looking for a vehicle that can be used for snow plowing and other municipal tasks. • The vehicle must have a vertical exhaust with heat shield alongside the cab • The vehicle must have a heavy-duty radiator with full bypass cooling system • The vehicle must have a 50/50 antifreeze solution • The vehicle must have a rectangular fuel tank with a minimum 50-gal capacity • The vehicle must have a number of other features, including tow hooks, rustproofing, and undercoating.
