Strengthening Ghana Health Service laboratory services, diagnostic networks, and systems for a more effective, efficient, and sustainable response to HIV, TB, and other priority health threats

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is seeking applications to strengthen the Ghana Health Service laboratory services, diagnostic networks, and systems for a more effective, efficient, and sustainable response to HIV, TB, and other priority health threats. The goal is to help the Ghana Health Service (GHS)/Ministry of Health (MoH) coordinate and improve laboratory capacity to deliver high-quality, efficient services for HIV, TB, and other priority health areas. The project will advance HIV testing, treatment, retention, and viral suppression in Ghana by equipping laboratories with appropriate diagnostic technologies, building staff skills to manage quality laboratory services, and strengthening the capacity of the Government of Ghana (GoG) MoH to take full responsibility for managing laboratory services, diagnostic networks, and systems for HIV, TB, and other priority infectious diseases. • The project will provide operational support through financial and technical resources to the GHS/MoH. • The project will help the GHS/MoH to coordinate and improve laboratory capacity. • The project will advance HIV testing, treatment, retention, and viral suppression in Ghana. • The project will equip laboratories with appropriate diagnostic technologies. • The project will build staff skills to manage quality laboratory services. • The project will strengthen the capacity of the GoG MoH to take full responsibility for managing laboratory services, diagnostic networks, and systems for HIV, TB, and other priority infectious diseases.
