Strengthening Services to Prevent the Infectious Disease Consequences of Drug Use

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is seeking applications to strengthen services that prevent the infectious disease consequences of drug use. The project aims to improve service data and increase support for infectious disease testing, treatment, and prevention services in high-impact settings serving people who use drugs. The expected outcomes include enhanced capacity to use data to improve services, increased testing for HBV, HCV, and HIV, and increased treatment and care for those with hepatitis C and HIV. • The project will be divided into two components: improving service data and increasing support for infectious disease testing, treatment, and prevention services. • Applicants can apply for one or both components. • The project is expected to start on September 30, 2027, and the award date is estimated to be August 30, 2027. • The estimated funding for the project is $82,500,000. • The project is open to various types of organizations, including special district governments, city or township governments, county governments, for-profit organizations, non-profits, and educational institutions.
