Rock Island Arsenal Railroad Bridge Corridor

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is seeking expressions of interest for a non-exclusive, five-year lease of a railroad transportation corridor located at Rock Island Arsenal between Davenport, Iowa, and Rock Island, Illinois. The property consists of approximately 5,060 linear feet of railroad trackage and associated bridge structures. The successful lessee will be responsible for operation, inspection, maintenance, repair, and regulatory compliance associated with the railroad corridor and related infrastructure. Key aspects of the opportunity include: • Operation and maintenance of a railroad transportation corridor • Maintenance and repair of railroad tracks, bridge structures, signaling and communications systems • Vegetation management • Compliance with applicable Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) requirements • Annual bridge inspections • Reporting requirements • Maintenance and repair of designated railroad bridge and track components
