University Water Treatment Services

The purpose of this bid is to establish a unit price service contract to cover all necessary chemicals, equipment, and service for a Water Treatment Program for Eastern Kentucky University. The program will include all boiler systems, cooling towers, hot water loops, and chilled water loops. The contractor will be responsible for providing chemicals, equipment, and services to minimize fuel and electrical consumption, reduce repair and maintenance costs, and provide professional knowledge and service personnel to ensure program success. • The contract term will be for an initial period of three years, with the option for annual renewal for up to four consecutive one-year periods. • The contractor must provide a comprehensive chemical testing program, monitoring and control, and troubleshooting capabilities. • The contractor must also provide training for University personnel and ensure compliance with all state and federal laws concerning the handling of hazardous materials. • The University reserves the right to award the bid in whole or in part and to award multiple contracts.
