DNR - Fallen Firefighter Memorial - Olympia

The Department of Enterprise Services (DES) is seeking qualified consultants to provide architectural and design services for the Fallen Firefighter Memorial in Olympia, WA. The project aims to create a lasting tribute to honor the bravery and sacrifice of firefighters who have lost their lives in the line of duty. The selected architect will provide design services through construction administration, including conceptual design, schematic design, design development, cost estimating services, construction documentation, and construction administration. The project requires collaboration with stakeholders, including the Washington State Fallen Firefighters Foundation, fire service organizations, and community representatives. • The memorial will commemorate nearly 300 fallen firefighters with space for future names. • The memorial will accommodate an annual ceremony honoring fallen firefighters with an approximate attendance of 200 people. • The memorial will include a memorial sculpture/structure and site plan designed to fit the scale and aesthetic of the Capitol Campus. • The project may also include landscape design, public art integration, sustainable design features, and electrical engineering for lighting.
