Sediment Filtration System

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a contractor to provide a sediment filtration system for the Iowa City VA Healthcare System. The system should be able to remove visible particles like sand, dirt, and rust from water, and must comply with NSF/ANSI 61 standards. The contractor will be responsible for providing the filtration system, commissioning support, monitoring, and maintenance, as well as training and technical service and support. The contract period is from August 1, 2025, to July 31, 2026. Key features of the required filtration system include: • Premium 304 Stainless Steel housing • 316 Stainless Steel Woven Mesh filtration media • 5µ or 10µ micron rating • Peak flow rate of 350gpm • Skid mounted • 6” line / flange size • Integrated bypass valve with super capacitor failsafe • Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) with human-machine interface (HMI) remote monitoring system The contractor must also provide startup and training to the plumbing shop staff, and ensure that the system is installed and functioning properly.
