The Missoula County Auditor’s Office is seeking a qualified rodeo stock contractor to provide all livestock, arena personnel, feed, equipment, and production services for the 2026 and 2027 Missoula Stampede Rodeo – a five‑night, PRCA‑sanctioned event each year. The contractor must be a PRCA member in good standing, supply a full complement of bare‑back horses, saddle broncs, bulls, steers, tie‑down calves, and mutton‑busting sheep, and manage all arena operations, contestant recruitment, and year‑round rodeo consulting. The County will furnish arena space, limited lodging, ambulance services, and added‑money funds for certain events; the contractor is responsible for all livestock‑related costs, staffing, feed, transport, insurance, and compliance with animal‑welfare standards. The initial contract covers two stampede seasons (2026‑2027) with an option to extend up to five additional years.
• Provide full rodeo livestock roster (bare‑back, saddle bronc, bull, steer, tie‑down, mutton‑busting) and associated arena staff (director, secretary, timers, bullfighters, handlers).
• Supply feed, rough‑stock gear, timed‑event equipment, and maintain PRCA animal‑welfare standards under County oversight.
• Deliver production services: arena direction, contestant recruitment, judge fees, marketing asset sharing, day‑sheet and payout reporting, and participation in County production meetings.
