The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) is soliciting innovative executive summaries and proposals in the areas of Design/Build/Buy, Surge and Sustain, Long Range Effects, and Disruptive Innovation. The goal is to create technological surprise and provide new options for national security by demonstrating revolutionary platforms and systems with cutting-edge technology. • The focus areas include designing and building new defense systems, developing technologies to make existing military systems easy to replenish and abundantly available, creating new systems and approaches that enable decisive military effects at distances from the tactical to strategic, and rapidly fielding novel engineering, technology, and systems approaches that disrupt the battlefield. • Proposals will be evaluated based on overall scientific and technical merit, potential contribution and relevance to the DARPA mission, and cost realism. • The submission process allows for multiple award instrument types, including procurement contracts, grants, cooperative agreements, and other transactions. • Proposers are encouraged to submit executive summaries in advance of submitting a full proposal to minimize unnecessary effort.
